This fully guided hike is the ideal exploration of the Tarkine region, with 477,000 hectares of untouched forest thick with tree ferns, giant man ferns, Huon Pine and spectacular rivers and streams yours to discover.

Immerse yourself in the heart of The Tarkine on this 5-day moderately challenging experience. The region is home to unique habitats which support myriad wildlife species. See signs of burrowing crayfish, platypus and stunning birds. On your daily guided walks you will witness incredible scenery including Mt Donaldson, the striking Tarkine coast as well as the incredible Philosopher's and Montezuma Falls. On day 3, you will enjoy the Pieman Cruise on the Arcadia II - a unique experience on the Gordon River, with excellent commentary, stunning reflections, freedom from other vessels and a truly personal experience with the river and rainforest.

After walking each day, you will head back to your accommodation to unpack and enjoy pre-dinner nibbles followed by a two-course meal prepared by your guides. 3-nights wilderness retreat accommodation at the beautiful Corinna Wilderness Experience and one night in tranquil surrounds at the Tullah Lakeside Lodge is included.

Your adventure begins in Launceston where you’ll journey to Tiagarra Museum on Mersey Bluff in Devonport. Enjoy a guided tour of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place. Arrive in Philosopher Falls and make your way to Corinna from there. Enjoy a serene boat cruise along Pieman River and disembark at Hardwicke Point before venturing on a hike to the sea at Pieman Heads. Continue to Rupert Point, where you take in the lovely scenery before returning to Hardwicke Point for a cruise back to Corinna. Choose to traverse the Whyte River Loop or the Savage River Return Walk and then head to Cradle Mountain. Savour a full day exploring the wonders of Cradle Mountain and take in its stunning landscapes. Enjoy a refreshing walk on the Dove Lake Circuit and return to Launceston, where your trip ends.
