Bamarru Plains is located to the west of Kakadu National Park on the Mary River floodplains, a short distance from the coast and about three hours by road from Darwin. Kakadu has been declared a World Heritage Site for both its natural and cultural significance.  This land is over 2,000 million years old and is rich in biological diversity while rock art galleries record 50,000 years of Aborginal occupation.
