Location

Located on the North West Cape, Sal Salis is an hour’s drive (70 kilometres) south of Exmouth, in the Cape Range National Park. The nearest commercial airport to Sal Salis is Exmouth’s Learmonth airport. Qantas flies to Exmouth daily from Perth. The team at Sal Salis will collect you from Learmonth Airport – please pre-book these road transfers.

Connect to the wilderness around you in one of just 15 eco-luxe safari tents designed to give you the most natural experience possible. Each tent has all the key comforts you need for a relaxing and memorable stay: comfortable beds, 100% cotton linen, ensuite eco bathrooms and impeccable service. To help you switch off from the modern world no minibars, televisions, piped music or telephones are provided. There is no WIFI at the camp.

Dining Overlooking The Indian Ocean

Cuisine at Sal Salis is taken very seriously. The in-house chef prepares a contemporary and delicious menu featuring seasonal, local produce and hints of bush food and local, fresh fish. Meals are shared with fellow guests and served at the lodge or on the deck. Expect a hot breakfast accompanied by fresh fruit, cereal and a selection of bread and pastries followed by lunch later in the day. Dinner is a gourmet’s delight – a three course meal carefully created and brought to the table out of a simple camp kitchen!

 

Tread Lightly On The Land

Sal Salis has been designed to operate in tune with the fragile environment of Cape Range National Park and as such abides by strict principles of minimal impact and sustainability. Power is solar generated, each ensuite bathroom has a natureloo, water usage is carefully managed and no water material escapes into the surrounding eco system. Each guest is allocated 20 litres of water per day for showering. Native herb soaps and ecologically sound shampoos are provided.

Swim, Snorkel, Walk, Read, Relax, Recharge

The World Heritage Area of the Ningaloo Coast provides a world class marine experience. Swim, snorkel and dive among colourful coral and fish and, at certain times of the year, you may even get up close to humpback whales and whale sharks for a truly unforgettable experience. If you’d prefer to stay dry, the limestone backdrop of the Cape Range hides deep gorges of incredible beauty. Guided walks through the area are on offer if you’d like to learn more about the local wildlife and history of this special place.
