Today promises to be one of the most remarkable travel days of your journey. You will begin with a scenic train trip from Oslo to Flåm, showcasing Norway’s magnificent natural landscapes. After stopping in Myrdal, you will board one of the world’s steepest railway lines to reach the head of Aurlandsfjord, passing through deep ravines, waterfalls, and mountain farms. Following lunch in Flåm, you will set sail through the breathtaking Nærøyfjord on a modern electric boat. Upon disembarking in Gudvangen, a private transfer will take you through the striking Nærøydalen valley to Bergen, where a hosted dinner awaits.
Nestled in the heart of Bergen’s vibrant soul, you’ll stay at Zander K Hotel, offering a sleek sanctuary just steps from the historic railway station.
Note: Luggage will sent by special service from Oslo to the hotel in Bergen, and will be waiting for you upon arrival. This covers x1 piece of luggage. Additional luggage will incur extra costs. When packing your daypack, please consider that you will be getting on an off trains and other vehicles so only bring the essentials.
After breakfast, join a local guide for a tour of Bergen, exploring the city’s highlights and learning about its history. The tour covers both the old and new parts of Bergen, including modern landmarks, the City Park, historic wooden areas, and the city’s wide streets and alleyways. You’ll also visit the UNESCO-listed Old Wharf and hear about the Hanseatic League, a key player in the region’s maritime trade.
The afternoon is free for you to explore. You might want to take the Floibanen funicular up Mount Floyen, which reaches 1,050 feet above the city in just seven minutes and offers great views of the town and coastline. In the evening, join your group for a final dinner at a local restaurant.
After a final breakfast, your Norwegian journey draws to a close. Should you wish to linger longer in the captivating embrace of Bergen, we invite you to select from our additional activities or extend your stay. - The departure point is Stockholm, Sweden. An arrival transfer is included in your trip. Your transfer from the airport to our starting point hotel takes approximately 40 mins depending on traffic. Alternatively, you can also use the Arlanda Express. It takes just 20 minutes and the train stops conveniently just across the road from the hotel. The Arlanda Express is the fastest way to get to and from Arlanda Airport. Another option is Flygbussarna Airport Coaches that depart from all airport terminals and bring you to the City Terminal in Stockholm, less than 1 km from the hotel. Departures every 10 minutes to/from Arlanda Airport. Journey time approx. 45 minutes.
- The finish point is Bergen, Norway. Your trip ends at Zander K Hotel. 3 minutes walk from the hotel, take tram number 1 at Nonneseter. It will take you directly to the airport. The journey lasts about 45 minutes. Alternatively, please ask your leader or hotel staff for assistance in arranging a taxi. If you have a confirmed departure transfer your leader will advise your pick up time the day before your trip ends.
- Major commercial flights provide convenient access to Stockholm. The closest airport to Stockholm is Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN), located approximately 40 kilometres (25 miles) north of the city centre. It is the main international airport serving Stockholm. Another nearby airport is Stockholm Bromma Airport (BMA) about 8 kilometres (5 miles) from the city centre, mainly for domestic and regional flights.

Helicopter evacuations are expensive and in most cases will be at a cost to the customer.For Australian residents, under the Australian Government Medicare Act, it is prohibited for any domestic travel insurance product to provide any financial reimbursement with regard to ambulance or air ambulance services. We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider. Evacuation cost will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore it is also strongly recommended that our customers take out travel insurance to cover (amongst other things) the costs associated with evacuation.Travel InsuranceIn view of the heavy cancellation penalties applied to cancelled reservations in certain circumstances, we strongly recommends suitable travel insurance be purchased at the time the holding deposit is paid.
