With a hearty breakfast and early start, journey through the quaint township of Coles Bay. Arrive to your first taste of a unique geological beauty of pink granite boulders and mountains of Freycinet Peninsula. Begin your walk at Wineglass Bay Lookout for sublime views through sclerophyll forests before descending into the white sands of renowned Wineglass Bay. Continue your peaceful walk to witness the Hazards Mountain range gradually unfold before you to dominate the northern vistas over the peninsula's isthmus. Along the way, encounter unforgettable close-up moments with local wildlife. From one paradise to another, arrive at the equally stunning Hazards Beach. From here, the walk rises inland through idyllic forests with glimpses across Great oyster Bay.
After conquering the hike, it is time for a refreshing icy swim in the crystalline waters before heading to your accommodation for the evening. Unwind to the scenes of the stunning Great Oyster Bay with the lush Freycinet Peninsula hovering in the distance. Tonight, enjoy a well-earned feast at the local Bark Mill Tavern

This morning, all aboard a short yet scenic ferry ride to the beautiful Maria Island, home to the World Heritage Listed Site of Darlington. Once populated by prisoners, it is now a wildlife sanctuary and an off-shore retreat of historic ruins, sweeping bays, dramatic cliffs with plenty of history to tell.
Take challenge on the most scenic yet rewarding hike of the island’s towering peaks, Bishop and Clerk. An ascent of 630 meters, the next 4-5 hours traverses majestic sea cliffs, lush grasslands, open forest and tall woodland to rocky slopes. A glimpse of the magnificent journey to come. Scramble over boulders and perched high atop the summit, be rewarded with jaw dropping views of the island, Freycinet Peninsula and the serene Tasman Sea. A perfect time to ponder the beauty and isolation of a unique landscape.
For those wanting a more relaxed adventure, explore the impressive sandstone patterns and structures of the Painted Cliffs shaped by mineral-rich water and wind. Delve deeper into Fossil Cliffs, a former limestone quarry showcasing a fascinating close up of the many ancient creatures immortalised as fossils in the rocks. Meander amongst the buildings and ruins of Darlington. A ghost town with insight about Aboriginal, convict and industrial past.
In the late afternoon, ferry back to mainland, traveling south to the historic town of Port Arthur. Unwind to the picturesque and peaceful setting of your accommodation, which will be home for the next 2 nights. Tonight, savour a well-deserved hearty dinner showcasing fresh Tasman produce at a local restaurant.
Walking Distance: Approx. 14km (8.7 miles), 5-6 hours walking, Easy to moderate grade
Today journey to Tasmania’s most premium coastal walking experiences, the renowned Three Capes Track. Traverse one of Australia’s most dramatic and inhospitable landscapes as you begin your walk out to Cape Raoul, the first of the capes you’ll conquer. A comfortable walk with only a few steep sections, it boasts expansive panoramic views of the surrounding Tasman Peninsula and further to Bruny Island.
Starting inland, enjoy walking through beautiful heath country and bushland before opening up to the magnificent dolerite cliffs of the Tasman National Park. A short journey later, finds you on another open section of the cliff top providing uninterrupted breathtaking views across Bruny Island and the coast. While here, you may encounter the intense winds the Capes are famous for (some of the strongest winds in Australia!) Walk amongst the cliff tops as you marvel the descend to the steepest part of the track to Cape Raoul plateau.
Standing on the plateau brings a change of landscape to the stunning coastal banksia scrub with the odd glimpses of the northern coastline and impressive 300m high cliff of Cape Pillar in the distance. Take ample time to relax and soak up the expansive scenery before heading back the same way to meet your bus, ready to take you back to Port Arthur.
Walking Distance: Approx. 8km (5.0 miles), 5 hours walking, moderate to hard grade
Your final day takes you to the rocky ups and downs of hiking Cape Hauy with stupendous views that will take you breath away. An unforgettable walk to cap off your incredible adventure.
The trail rewards you with spectacular views with challenging lengthy sections of well-constructed stone steps that ascend and descend nearly the entire length of the track. It begins at a beautiful cove that ascend through steep rocky terrain before traversing top views of extensive panoramic views stretching past Forester Coast to Maria Island, detailing the ridge of Cape Pillar. The trail follows the cliffs edge taking in spectacular coastal views. The final segment takes you to steep and narrow sections unfolding more breathtaking view each time. Marvel at impressive rock formations and towering dolerite cliffs out of the ocean.
Your return trip travels down Tasmania’ east coast, arriving to Hobart late afternoon.

The Tasman peninsula has a temperate, maritime climate with smaller daily and annual temperature ranges than continental regions. The municipality receives an average of around 900 mm of rainfall a year with a weak seasonal cycle (minimum in February, maximum in June). Rainfall can come from westerly cold fronts, but a large proportion of the rainfall comes from easterly and northeasterly systems such as cutoff lows.

- 1 x night: Grand Chancellor Launceston: Located in the heart of Launceston, we will stay here for the first night before an early departure for Wineglass Bay the next day. To celebrate our journey ahead we will enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant. Rooms are standard Twin share/Queen rooms with ensuites.
- 1 x night: Swansea Motor Inn:Our launching pad to Maria Island, Swansea Motor Inn overlooks the Great Oyster Bay with the renowned Hazards of Freycinet National Park in the distance. Watch the sun rise over the water and pelicans fishing near the beach in the afternoon. We’ll head to the Bark Mill Tavern for a generous and hearty dinner.
- 2 x nights: Fox and Hounds Inn:With great access to the Three Capes Track, the Fox and Hound motel is situated right next to Stingaree Bay a little outside of Port Arthur in a really picturesque and quiet setting. We will have dinner at the restaurant.
- At all of the locations we will meet up together to share breakfast and to make our packed lunches for the days walk. We will enjoy dinner at local restaurants for the duration of the tour.

The tour operator is at the mercy of nature in all her beauty and all her fury. The tour operator will under no circumstance knowingly place at risk the health and well-being of our guests and guides. In the case of natural threats, acts of God and the like (e.g. bushfires, impassable snow, etc) the tour operator may need to cancel a walk with very little notice. In some cases, this can occur after the walk has commenced. The tour operator reserves the right to cancel any walk up to 60 days prior to departure if a minimum of 4 walkers are unable to meet for a tour. If the tour operator needs to cancel for any reason, the cost of the walk or any other costs associated with travel to the designated pick up point, overnight accommodation, meals, etc will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore we strongly recommend travel insurance be taken out prior to travel.Force Majeure'Force Majeure' means (without restriction) any event which Onlyluxe Travel or its third party providers could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. In the case of Force Majeure Onlyluxe Travel will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.EvacuationsIn rare circumstances, due to injury or unforeseen illness, the tour operator may need to evacuate you from a remote part of the walk. Helicopter evacuations are expensive and in most cases will be at a cost to the customer.For Australian residents, under the Australian Government Medicare Act, it is prohibited for any domestic travel insurance product to provide any financial reimbursement with regard to ambulance or air ambulance services. We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider. Evacuation cost will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore it is also strongly recommended that our customers take out travel insurance to cover (amongst other things) the costs associated with evacuation.Travel InsuranceIn view of the heavy cancellation penalties applied to cancelled reservations in certain circumstances, we strongly recommends suitable travel insurance be purchased at the time the holding deposit is paid. We recommend insurance cover that covers any loss which may be suffered due to cancellation. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance against loss of baggage and medical expenses.
