Once you check-in at the Radisson Blu Oslo Airport Hotel, the staff will provide you with your cabin tags. Clearly fill in your name and ship cabin number to allow your luggage to be delivered to the vessel ahead of your arrival.

Note:Flights between Oslo and Longyearbyen are not included in the voyage.
This morning, you board your flight to Longyearbyen (flight ticket not included in voyage fare), and upon arrival at the airport, our representative will meet you and give you a tour of the small but significant town.
On the drive to Camp Barentz, located at the Advent Valley, at the foot of the mountain, your guide will give you an introduction to Longyearbyen’s history. At Camp Barentz, enjoy a presentation in the large “lavvo”, a traditional building common in Northern Norway. If you’re lucky, you may see Svalbard reindeer, grouse, and even foxes at the camp. You'll visit the Svalbard museum back in town before boarding the Greg Mortimer in the late afternoon.
Ample time will be given to you to settle and get comfortable in your cabin before our important voyage briefing. Gather on the deck or find a nice spot in one of the observation areas and take in the sights as you sail out of the magnificent Isfjorden and observe the beautiful seabirds such as the gliding fulmars, delightful ivory gulls, kittiwakes, and guillemots.
Note: At times, our vessel is unable to dock in Longyearbyen port due to space and capacity. In this case, you will reach the ship by Zodiac.
Svalbard archipelago, located between the mainland and the North Pole, displays Arctic wilderness at its finest. With the numerous exploration choices available to you, our expert expedition team will choose the best adventures for you to undertake daily based on the current weather, ice conditions, and wildlife opportunities so that you can make the most of your journey.
Being one of the “wildlife hotspots” of the Arctic, immerse into unforgettable wildlife encounters exploring its unique wildlife such as the large population of majestic polar bears, iconic walruses, arctic foxes, ringed seals, and different species of seabirds that nest on the ground where they can easily be photographed.
Observe the raw beauty of its numerous glaciers, with over 2000 glaciers in this archipelago. Walk on the tundra with variegated forms of wildflowers and visit towering cliffs to spot birds who nest on them such as guillemots and puffins and also see the birds that nest on scree slopes like Svalbard’s largest auk colony and snow buntings.
If you have chosen optional activities like kayaking and polar plunging, you’ll have the opportunity to do so when the conditions are favorable. The chilly feeling of plunging in polar waters is one you’ll never forget.
This amazing experience comes to an end as you cruise back into Longyearbyen this early morning. Bid farewell to your fellow adventurers and your expert expedition team and crew as you disembark the luxury, Greg Mortimer.
Enjoy the free time to indulge yourself before transferring to the airport to board your flight back for your onward journey.
