Waitua Retreat overlooks Fraser Island’s Kingfisher Bay and the Great Sandy Straight.
Fraser Island is located about 15 kilometres off the coast of Hervey Bay. The ferry to Fraser Island leaves from River Heads, which is located just outside of Hervey Bay.
Hervey Bay is best accessed via the Hervey Bay Airport (HVB) or from Brisbane, which is located approximately four hours’ drive away. .
Staying at Waitua Retreat is like staying in the comfort of home, only better. The retreat is a modern, well-appointed two-storey, five-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home, with a massive 18 metre deck to water, bush and sunset views. The retreat sleeps up to 13 people and is air-conditioned, however, it has been thoughtfully designed to capture the beautiful sea breeze.
You have everything you need at Waitua Retreat to cook up a storm. The well-appointed modern kitchen includes oven and stovetop, grill, microwave, refrigerator, rice cooker, toaster and blender as well as all the necessary cooking utensils. There is even a dishwasher to minimise cleaning up!
