Welcome to Tropical North Queensland!
Arriving into Cairns Airport, a private sedan takes you along the gorgeous Great Barrier Reef Drive to Silky Oaks Lodge, Queensland’s ultimate luxury eco-lodge located in the Daintree, the world’s oldest rainforest.
Upon arrival at Silky Oaks, enjoy a signature welcome drink.
After lunch, you may choose to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the rainforest with a self guided hike along Fig Tree Rapids Trail. Along the well-marked trail, you’ll find scrub fowl scratching in the leaf litter, ferns clinging to branches high above, seed pods of all colours and shapes, and birds and butterflies galore. A dip in the freshwater swimming pool is the perfect way to cool off.
In the afternoon, pamper yourself with a well-deserved spa treatment at the Healing Waters Spa (you have two $75 spa treatment credits included in your package). Sink into a mineral bath, cocoon in a detoxifying ma-rine wrap and emerge invigorated from a green tea salt therapy under the Vichy shower.
Cap off the day with evening drinks and canapes in the open air Jungle Perch before moving into the Treetop Restaurant for a decadent four-course table d’hôte menu, paired with premium wines.
After a gourmet breakfast, delve deeper into the sights and sounds of the Daintree. Your first stop is the mag-nificent Mossman Gorge, where your expert guide will introduce you to the rainforest as you walk among the treetops on the new aerial walkway.
Next, head along the Captain Cook Highway through the town of Mossman to the mighty Daintree River. The riverbank is the perfect place to enjoy a traditional Aussie morning tea of freshly baked lamingtons before em-barking on a scenic river cruise. As you navigate the sacred waters, keep an eye out for local wildlife including birds, snakes and perhaps even crocodiles.
Back on dry land, continue on to Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. Your guide will share with you the fascinating history of the area, including the trials and tribulations of Captain James Cook and the First Fleet, and leave you with plenty of time to explore the beach and venture to the lookout.
Lunch today is in a secret spot surrounded by rainforest followed by an ice cream at the famous Daintree Ice Cream Company.
Cap off the day with a visit to the magical Cassowary Falls. You’ll have exclusive access to this real-life Garden of Eden, where you can swim, feed fish and turtles or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
You’ll return to Silky Oaks around 5:00pm for another evening of drinks and canapes followed by a shared platter style dinner. Settle into the surrounds with lunch in the award-winning Treehouse Restaurant overlooking the tranquil Mossman River.
After another gourmet breakfast, head to the coast for an exhilarating day of adventure and fun at the very outer edge of the Barrier Reef. Entering the dramatic beauty of the Great Barrier Reef is an extraordinary experience. It’s a day that engages all your senses, lifts your spirit and takes you into another realm. Sharing the wonder of the world’s largest living entity, realising its breathtaking colour and majesty, seeing nature at its most perfect is an awakening and, quite simply, the memory of a lifetime.
Choose to dive*, snorkel, or stay dry. Whichever way you choose, you’ll bring home a lifetime of memories from this living natural wonder. *Diving is at an additional cost.
When you’re not in the water, feel free to relax on deck or enjoy a drink at the licenced bar. Lunch included.

We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider. Evacuation cost will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore it is also strongly recommended that our customers take out travel insurance to cover (amongst other things) the costs associated with evacuation.Travel InsuranceIn view of the heavy cancellation penalties applied to cancelled reservations in certain circumstances, we strongly recommends suitable travel insurance be purchased at the time the holding deposit is paid. We recommend insurance cover that covers any loss which may be suffered due to cancellation. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance against loss of baggage and medical expenses.
