Mt Barney Lodge is located in Queensland’s stunning Scenic Rim Region, right next to the World Heritage-listed Mt Barney National Park.

The closest airports to Mt Barney Lodge are Gold Coast (Coolangatta) (OOL) and Brisbane (BNE) Airport. Both Gold Coast and Brisbane Airport are roughly the same distance from Mt Barney Lodge (130km/81mi) and approximately two hours’ drive away.

 

Genuine Queenslander Homestead

Immerse yourself in the Queensland way of life in one of two genuine Queenslander homesteads. Both the Boolamoola (sleeps up to six) and Moringararah (sleeps up to 15) homesteads feature fully self-contained kitchens with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, colonial furniture and a fireplace, and verandahs with superb mountain views. Bring your own linen or have it provided for you for just $20AUD (minimum 48 hours’ notice required). A minimum of four guests is required.

Depending on your package, your stay at Mt Barney Lodge will be either catered or uncatered. If your stay is catered, you will enjoy wholesome, home-cooked meals in either the dining room or the classic country kitchen. If your stay is uncatered, venture out into the wider Scenic Rim to discover quaint country pubs, vineyards with cheese platters and breweries whose food is as good as the beer. You will also find cute, little cafes specialising in local fresh produce and the best coffee!
