On this day, meet with your tour leaders at 10 am right in front of the intermodal train and bus station in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. We will convene outside by the top of the escalators at the main entrance to the station. Please, ensure you are dressed in your hiking clothes, and that you come along with a daypack containing your rain gear, anything else you may want for today’s hike, and your luggage (which will be transported to our first night’s accommodations).
After our meeting in the port city and regional capital of Palma de Mallorca, we ride a shuttle to our trailhead right outside of Calvia for our first hike in the scenic Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, a World Heritage landscape. Take a walk to warm up your legs on a tranquil trail decorated with olive orchards and oak trees, going all the way to Galilea where we’ll be welcomed with views of striking mountains, green vegetation, and the gleaming Mediterranean Sea.
As we continue traversing, we join up with a selected portion of the famous Grand Recorrido trail, usually referred to as GR221, a path that crosses the entire island. Getting to the stunning mountain town of Galilea, unwind at a favourite restaurant and enjoy the view. If you’re still feeling up to stretching your legs a little more, you can continue hiking downhill towards Finca Galatzo, a peaceful natural reserve. From here, we go on to Castell Son Claret, an elegant 5-star hotel that sits amid 326 acres of land. This former castle, decorated in flourishing vegetation and dramatic palms is our home for the next two nights. Unwind by the picturesque pool or go for a relaxing massage at the spa. Come evening shuttle to a local restaurant for a taste of sumptuous traditional Mallorcan cuisine. (spa treatments are at own expense.)

To start the day, we eat a nice breakfast at the hotel, and shuttle to the charming fishing town of Sant Elm where we begin today’s hike. We follow a trail through quintessential Mallorcan forest and native Mediterranean flora and fauna and go up to Sa Trapa on foot. The amazing ruins of a former Trapan monastery. The vistas from La Trapa are breathtaking. Relish the sweeping shimmering ocean and the small neighbouring island of Sa Dragonera just off the coast, a path that crosses the entire island.
We go down a rough path back to Sant Elm, where we have a spectacular waterfront lunch. We then proceed to add a few more miles by hiking along a picturesque trail, to the town of Port Andratx, admiring the Galatzo peak in the distance. If you aren’t up for it, you can take a ride back to the hotel, in the shuttle. After our time in Balearic paradise, we still have the time to lounge by the pool or unwind and indulge in some deep tissue massage at the spa.

This morning, we cross the sapphire sea on a Zodiac boat ride from Sant Elm to Port de Soller, if the weather permits. Along the way, we behold the island from different angles and viewpoints as we cruise past rocky coastal cliffs, caves and bays.
Getting on dry land, we head out along a rough forested trail that provides views of the sea and a look at the classic architecture of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. Traditional village houses, workshops, washhouses, patios and paths decorate the route to Son Bleda, where lunch and homemade cakes await.
After lunch, we go over coastal paths and rough tracks to the rocky Deia cove, accessorised with old fishermen’s boathouses and docks. Confront a truly Mallorcan scene along the way: exceptional coastal panoramas, country lanes with charming stone houses and terraces of prehistoric gnarly olive trees.Our walk leads us to the elite bohemian hamlet of Dei, a Mediterranean gem known for attracting artistic residents, including Mick Jagger and Robert Graves.
Get comfortable in the chic 5-star hotel of Belmond La Residencia, set between the Tramuntana Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea. Located on the hillside of Deià village and decorated with citrus trees and prehistoric orchards, this hotel is in a class of its own and is our home for the next three nights. Recharge with a dip in the pool, play a good game of tennis or grab a cold drink and soak in some Mallorcan rays.
We enjoy dinner at a restaurant in Deia, a culinary hotspot, where you'll be sure to have a mouthwatering experience savouring Mediterranean-Mallorcan cuisines whipped up with locally grown ingredients.

In the morning, we shuttle to our trailhead, where we explore another section of GR-221. Take in the Mallorcan scenery as we pass terraces of prehistoric gnarly olive trees and orange groves with views of the sea in the distance.
Our walk takes us to the bustling and quintessential town of Fornalutx where we stop for lunch. Take your time to traverse the steep staircases that lead between stunning Mediterranean houses engulfed in sweeping bougainvillaea.
After eating lunch, we continue hiking along the Gran Recorrido toward the welcoming village of Biniaraix. If you want more distance, go on to Es Marroigs, the vitas are worth the extra effort. We end the day in Soller, an ideal place for keepsakes or visit art galleries featuring authentic works by legendary Spanish artists including Picasso and Miro. Later in the afternoon, we shuttle back to Deia and our hotel, having more than enough time to relish the views over a refreshing beverage on the hotel’s patio or head to the spa.
You are opportune to enjoy dinner on your own in Deia. There are many amazing dishes here as the town houses some of Mallorca’s best restaurants, serving food including sophisticated, rustic or even Asian flavoured meals. (reservations are recommended).

We begin today’s adventure by shuttling to the spellbinding town of Valldemossa, a former Moorish hamlet set in a spectacular valley engulfed in olive groves. Stunning scenic vistas of the Mediterranean draw your attention from the steep uphill climb as you leave the town on foot. Carry on into a lovely oak forest where century-old stone silos, wells and ovens adorn a landscape teeming with local flora and fauna. We experience Mallorca’s history as we move past prehistoric settlements of forest dwellers and lime kilns and as we hike along sections of the Cami de s’Arxiduc “The Walk of the Archduke''.
The Es Cargoli peak trail connects back to Valldemossa where lunch is at your own expense. Enjoy from a wide array of Mallorcan specialties to choose from. If you want to cover more grounds before your meal, you can set out towards Mirador de ses Puntes for stunning views.
You have the afternoon to yourself. You could explore Valldemossa’s winding streets, picturesque shops and art galleries before retiring to the hotel. You’ll stay at an opulent eco luxury boutique oasis, the Hotel A Quinta da Auga., surrounded by serene mountains and citrus groves. Set in a renovated 18th century building, soak in the charm and tranquility at its stunning spa and wellness.
At night, we raise our glasses to an exceptional journey while being entertained with the captivating sounds of Spanish guitar played just for us. Following that, we are allowed to enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel’s magnificent restaurant which specialises in fresh regional cuisine.

We start the day with a laid-back walking tour of Deia, where we will be opportune to visit a local artist in his studio. We head back to the hotel where we enjoy a final lunch together before saying goodbye to your tour leaders and boarding a private shuttle to Palma where the trip ends.

Major commercial flights provide convenient access to Palma. The nearest international airport is Palma Mallorca Airport which is 25.1 km away and Ibiza Airport, 163km. Nearby domestic airport also includes Menorca Airport in Mahon Spain, 108km.
Mallorca enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate. You can expect hot sunny days in the summer and mild temperatures in spring and fall, though unseasonably high temperatures are increasingly common. The sea breeze known as the embat helps keep temperatures on the coast comfortable. In the mountains you can expect cooler temperatures and the chance for sudden weather changes. Rain is possible all year round, so it is essential that you pack waterproof and breathable rain gear. On most days you'll be comfortable hiking in a short sleeved T-shirt. (When you head out in the morning, you might want to wear a lightweight jacket.) The water around Mallorca is relatively calm and warm, with surface temperatures reaching 26 degrees celcius (79 degrees Fahrenheit) in August.
