Today, you meet with your tour leaders at 10:15 a.m. at the Olbia airport in Olbia, on the Italian isle of Sardinia. Please arrive dressed in your hiking clothes. Bring your luggage and a daypack with your swimsuit, rain gear, and anything else you may want for today's hike (your luggage will be transported to our first night's accommodations).
Your adventure begins with a scenic shuttle to our trailhead for our first hike located near Monte Cugnana. Today's trail winds through some of Costa Smeralda's most extraordinary landscapes, linking ancient pathways with exquisite and unique Sardinian scenery.
Getting to the lovely village of San Pantaleo, visit its charming art galleries and shops before lunch. After a delicious lunch, we continue our hike toward the coast on a route overlooking an astonishing Mediterranean Sea, scattered with inland portions of the path lined with pine trees, wild maquis, and the beautiful gardens of private villas.
After today’s hike, we will shuttle to the Cervo Hotel, an elegant seafront hotel located in the heart of Porto Cervo with a panoramic view over the bay, and our home for the next two days. Laze by its private beach set amid Sardinia's lush coastal landscape or refresh with a dip in its pool. Enjoy a welcome reception later in the evening followed by an alfresco dinner at the hotel offering a range of delicious cuisines, from pizza to Mediterranean specialties.

Following a hearty breakfast at the hotel, be prepared for a hike through Sardinia’s wild cinematic landscape. Today, we will be taking a boat to the undeveloped islands of La Maddalena Archipelago, a nature reserve surrounded by sapphire blue water.
Our journey starts on foot following a trail through Mediterranean flora across the island of Caprera to reach secret coves and pristine beaches. Get to visit the museum dedicated to Giuseppe Garibaldi, an important figure in the history and unification of Italy, as well as interesting military fortifications and architecture. After a short picnic, you can choose to continue hiking, rejuvenate with a swim in the crystal-clear sea or relax at our seafront resort while taking in spectacular views of nature.
Tonight, we gather for a delightful dinner at a favourite nearby restaurant. Be delighted by the flavours of local Italian cuisines.
TWO HIKING OPTIONS:
After a final breakfast on Sardinia, we begin today’s adventure shuttling to the lovely port town of Santa Teresa, then we bid farewell to the island as we board a ferry bound across the strait for the French isle of Corsica, a natural playground with stunning varied geography ranging from rocky mountain peaks to green valleys and postcard-perfect beaches.
Getting to the seaside Bonifacio, we meet with a local guide who shares with us the history and architecture of the Mediaeval City. See the town’s Gothic Church with its exceptional buildings.
Go on to explore the romantic old city of Bonifacio winding along its narrow alleyways or following the steep steps down to its marina. After a nice lunch by yourself at one of the town’s excellent cafes, we continue our exploration along the coast toward the beach.
Done with the day's adventure, we travel to the outskirts of the chic and alluring seaside town of Porto-Vecchio where we will find Casadelmar, a five star hotel nestled in almost three hectares of gardens overlooking the bay of Porto Vecchio, and our graceful home for the night. Book a therapeutic session at the hotel’s spa, unwind by the pool or sit on one of the hotel’s private beachfront terraces while enjoying the serene atmosphere.
We will be having dinner tonight at Casadelmar's exquisite 2-Michelin starred restaurant where Italian chef Fabio Bragagnolo prepares simple Mediterranean cuisine that enhances the ingredients by creating subtle, harmonious flavour combinations.

Bidding a temporary farewell to the coast, we shuttle inland to Cartalavonu, a beautiful pine tree forest hidden in the Corsican Hills. We meet up with a hand-picked section of the Mare a Mare trail here, a picturesque route that stretches from one side of the island to the other.
Moving past peaks and meadows, we stop for lunch at a traditional Corsican restaurant that seems to appear out of nowhere. After a tasty lunch, we hike through Corsica’s lush pine and cork forested Alta Rocca mountain range.
Following the end of today’s hike, we return to the coast and the chic and fascinating Hostellerie du Moulin des Oliviers, a five star hotel located in the heart of a flowery and fragrant maquis, and covered by century-old olive trees with splendid view of the Gulf of Valinco, and our home for the next two nights.
Go for a calm walk through the gardens or relax by the pool overlooking the Valinco Gulf or visit the Plage de Baraci Beach, a 25-minute walk away from the hotel. You will be having dinner on your own at Propriano, where there are many delightful restaurants to choose from and numerous dishes.

Following a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we go on a short shuttle ride to the peaceful village of Campomoro where today's hike begins. Following a well-maintained lovely coastal trail, we head to the beautifully preserved Genovese watchtower overlooking the Gulf of Valinco. Moving further south, we arrive at Campomoro, a small fishing village next to a pristine beach where we will have lunch.
Continue exploring the trails of the Valinco Gulf, take your time at the lovely beach of Campomoro, or return for a time of relaxation back at the hotel.
We will be meeting tonight for a toast to an exhilarating two-island journey. Afterward, we sit for a delightful dinner at the hotel where we will savour the tastes of delicious French cuisines before retiring for the night.

If you want to explore more of Corsica’s ever so enchanting landscapes follow a scenic trail around the enchanting village of Olmeto while taking in captivating views of the surrounding. You can also choose to sleep in this morning. After exploring, freshen up at the hotel, say goodbye and hop in the shuttle to Ajaccio, where the trip ends.

This airport has international and domestic flights and is 2 km from the center of Olbia, Italy. Another major airport is Figari Sud-Corse Airport which has international and domestic flights from Figari, France and is 103 km from Olbia, Italy.
During late spring, early summer and autumn, Corsica and Sardinia generally enjoy sunny skies and warm daytime temperatures and comfortably cool evenings. However, because of their Mediterranean climate, you should also be prepared for some hot temperatures during the day—a sun hat is always a good idea! Extra layers are also essential, particularly in Corsica, where the climate varies from the coastline to the mountains. Rain showers are possible year-round, so don't forget to come prepared with quality rain gear that is waterproof and breathable.
