Start your journey with a taste of paradise in Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy's oldest nature reserve. Be captivated by its spectacular alpine scenery, mountain vistas and deep valleys. A safe haven and protective area for animals, keep eyes peeled for unique wildlife including chamois, ibex, marmots, foxes, and vultures.
Trails through glacier and river valleys lead to cascading waterfalls in the Aosta Valley, a favorite spot for alpine hiking among Italians. Spot the regal alpine ibex, a species of wild goat that lives in the European Alps, a species saved from near extinction that now thrives in the region's high altitude terrain. From here, continue slowly but surely up the valley along Nivolet Creek until you reach your accommodation for the night: Bellevue Hotel & Spa. Visit fairy-tale mountain hamlets, encountering traditional architecture and local customs. Savor a post-hike libation and incredible, locally sourced fare at our exquisite Relais & Châteaux lodge.
You will stay at a Relais and Châteaux member, Bellevue Hotel & Spa, nestled inside Gran Paradiso National Park. Soak in the serenity with unparalleled views of alpine scenery and wildlife. Arrive at the iconic pyramid mountain, the Matterhorn, one of the most recognisable mountain peaks in the world. This Swiss landmark is at the border of the western Swiss canton of Valais between Zermatt and the Italian resort of Breuil-Cervinia. The Matterhorn's landscape is a one-of-a-kind natural spectacle due to its symmetrical pyramid shape.
Take advantage of the Italian mountains as you hike through lush, green scenery from the alpine town of Breuil-Cervinia to the craggy slopes below Cervino for beautiful views of the Valtournenche. Be treated to a delicious lunch at a at a classic rifugio (traditional mountain hut) and experience the true flavour of Aosta Valley excellence, with intense aromas and breathtaking views. Admire wildflowers, waterfalls, and unusual boulder formations as you descend to Saint Vincent, a typical Alpine town where nature manifests itself.

Set deep in the European Alps, be challenged hiking through the Monte Rosa massif, the highest mountain in Western Europe. Along the hike, the trail passes through stunning views of lakes and glaciers. The journey discovers the Swiss and Italian cultures, their rich history, and diverse ecosystems with our local guide. After sunset, stay in the comfort of your cozy chalet room and enjoy sorbet hues while watching the Alpenglow that lights up rock face with atmospheric hues shifting from pink to orange to carmin.
On the last day, travel to Turin, the capital of the Piedmont region of northwest Italy, famous for its sports cars and chocolate. Home to the Museo Egizio, one of the most impressive collections of Egyptian artefacts in the world, take a stroll around baroque palaces, chic piazzas, and grand boulevards. When you've worked up an appetite, sample casual trattorias for pastas, regional wines, and coffees.
You will stay at our Hotellerie de Mascognaz chalets nestled at the foot of the breathtaking Monte Rosa. A 17th century alpine farmhouse, relax in your cosy ensuite rooms which exemplifies the chalet-style alpine oasis. Soak in the tranquility at the wellness spa boasting a sauna, Turkish bath and whirlpools or enjoy easy access to the largest ski area in Italy.

Weather in the Italian Alps, while generally sunny and mild in the summer, can quickly change. A typical day begins with clear blue skies, but by late afternoon, showers, cold temperatures or heavy mist can occur. The mountain passes especially can be windy and cold. Make sure to come prepared with waterproof breathable rain gear as well as warm layers for cooler mornings.

In the case of Force Majeure Onlyluxe Travel will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.EvacuationsIn rare circumstances, due to injury or unforeseen illness, the tour operator may need to evacuate you from a remote part of the walk. Helicopter evacuations are expensive and in most cases will be at a cost to the customer.For Australian residents, under the Australian Government Medicare Act, it is prohibited for any domestic travel insurance product to provide any financial reimbursement with regard to ambulance or air ambulance services. We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider. Evacuation cost will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore it is also strongly recommended that our customers take out travel insurance to cover (amongst other things) the costs associated with evacuation.Travel InsuranceIn view of the heavy cancellation penalties applied to cancelled reservations in certain circumstances, we strongly recommends suitable travel insurance be purchased at the time the holding deposit is paid. We recommend insurance cover that covers any loss which may be suffered due to cancellation. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance against loss of baggage and medical expenses.
