Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your guide who will accompany you throughout the safari. You will then be transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge, lying hidden amongst the sprawling grounds of Tanzania's largest coffee plantation, set below the rugged peaks of Mt Meru. Settle in and unwind after your journey. Take this opportunity to explore the local area or simply relax and prepare for the thrilling adventure ahead.
Opportunities for organised day trips include visits to the local market, leisurely walks in the area, invigorating canoeing excursions in Arusha National Park, and thrilling cycling adventures on the slopes of Mount Meru. Savour a dinner at the lodge with accents of African Cuisine. The bar is characterized by the excellent selection of wines, where you can also enjoy the cozy fireplace in the evening.
After breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, which derives its name from the Tarangire River that rises in the highlands of central Tanzania and winds its way through the game sanctuary. The river provides a year-round supply of water to the thirsty animals, and at certain times of the year (especially from July through to October) attracts thousands of animals, especially elephants in large herds. Enjoy game drives in the park en- route to your lodge arriving in good time for check in and lunch. The afternoon can be spent at leisure in order to gather up strength in anticipation of the next day’s activities.
Today is a full day of game drives in this delightful park that was established in 1970 covering an area of 2,600 sq km. The park is made up of 8 distinct vegetation zones varying from swamps to open grasslands, and acacia parkland each having their own charm and independent of large migration movements. For the bird watching fanatics, Tarangire is said to have the highest recorded number of breeding bird species for any habitat in the world.
After breakfast, depart from your lodge and proceed to Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Highlands with an optional stop at the shifting sands which are volcanic ashes that has been blown from the nearby still active volcanic mountain, Oldoinyo Lengai. The sand dune rises to a height of 100 m In the shape of a curve. Enjoy game drives en-route to your lodge.
Today is a full day of game viewing in Serengeti which is arguably the most famous National Park in the World covering an area of almost 15,000 sq. km – an area comparable to the state of Connecticut or Northern Ireland. The Serengeti ecosystem is located in northwestern Tanzania and extends to southwestern Kenya. The two regions hosts the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet and one of the most breath-taking events in the animal kingdom. These plains hold the world’s greatest diversity of ungulates. They include eland, impalas, gazelles, oryx, gerenuk and kudu. Buffalo, wildebeest, plains zebra, giraffes, elephants, and warthogs are among other herbivores of the African savanna.
Witnessing the power of the migration during its season is an unforgettable experience for even the most seasoned African traveller. They cross the Tanzanian border and spill onto the savannah plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve which is in Kenya which forms part of the continuous ecosystem with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The trickle soon becomes a flood as the main body of the migrating herds comes rumbling in. For the next three to four months, usually between July and October, they stay in the Mara enjoying the fresh green pastures. They remain until the arrival of the short rains sometime in October or November. Then, Tanzania draws them south once again. They are closely followed in turn by Africa’s largest concentration of lion and a host of other predators. An option of a hot air balloon in The Serengeti will offer a delightful experience, floating over enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras, glimpsing cheetah, Lion and leopard. Champagne bush breakfast after landing.
After a morning game drive, depart Serengeti for The Ngorongoro Crater subsequently defined as an environment both beautiful and unusual as it contains an array of habitats and a yearlong supply of water. It is also the home of the famed Maasai people, those tall, proud nomadic warriors whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravely in fights with wild animals has spread across the world. However, they have learned to live in complete harmony with their environment and the wildlife which surrounds them. The tribe has many fascinating traditions which form part of their culture. Their diet is a simple one, consisting mainly of meat and milk and the blood of cattle - drawn by firing a collared arrow into the beast’s jugular vein - mixed with milk.
This unique Lion Paw Camp is located on the Eastern Rim of the Ngorongoro Crater which is the largest intact volcanic caldera. Within the pristine, lush forest of Ngorongoro, clients will enjoy a pure oasis of luxury.
After an early breakfast, descend into the Crater, a caldera that contains some of the finest black-maned lions in Africa. The floor of the crater is only 100 sq miles but is home to around 25,000 animals with a high concentration of predators. Rhino can be seen with calves at heel. Eland and waterbuck appear not to notice the human visitors hence giving a good posture for a picture (s). The Crater is an environment both beautiful and unusual as it contains an array of habitats and a yearlong supply of water. This ensures that it is always timing with life even at the height of the dry season. Enjoy a picnic lunch with the hippos and birds! In the early hours of the Afternoon, ascend out of the crater and drive Back to Arusha and onward transfer to the Airport for your departure schedules or other.

Level 7 Tough: Trekking experience is essential and preferably at altitude. You need complete confidence in your ability to trek for many days over difficult terrain. You may encounter extreme altitude and weather conditions and may need to use ice axes and crampons. Stamina is essential as walking days last six to nine hours (sometimes more on occasions). Daily ascents will likely be around 2,955ft to 3,280ft (900m to 1,000m), perhaps with the odd day around 3,610ft to 3,940ft (1,100m to 1,200m).

The weather in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania varies depending on the altitude. In general, the region experiences two main seasons: the dry season and the wet season.
The dry season typically runs from June to October, with clear skies and less rainfall. This period is considered the best time to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, as the weather is generally drier and visibility is better.
The wet season, also known as the rainy season, occurs from November to May. During this time, rainfall is more frequent, especially from March to May, which is the peak of the wet season. It is worth noting that climbing Mount Kilimanjaro during the wet season can be challenging due to slippery trails and reduced visibility.
