Following a brief safety overview, we will embark on a gentle ride along the western shores of Lake Iseo. The route today is designed for pure enjoyment, following scenic cycle paths that reveal the lake's tranquil beauty. A highlight of our ride is the stunning 9-kilometer stretch from the charming village of Vello to Toline, a path carved into the rock that offers breathtaking, uninterrupted views across the water.
Our journey will lead us into the heart of the renowned Franciacorta wine region, an area celebrated for producing some of Italy's finest sparkling wines. Here, we will visit a distinguished local winery, where you'll be welcomed for a guided tour of the cellars and vineyards. The experience continues with a sophisticated wine tasting, perfectly paired with a curated selection of local cheeses and cured hams that represent the rich culinary heritage of the region.
After a delightful afternoon, a private transfer will return you to the hotel, where you can unwind with a relaxing aperitivo. The evening is yours to explore the historic centre of Pisogne, a charming town known for its medieval towers and frescoes. After starting the day with a traditional Italian brioche and excellent coffee, we’ll head north along the cycle path through Val Camonica. This beautiful valley is known for its clear rivers, lush greenery, and mountains that create a breathtaking backdrop. The ride is mostly flat and enjoyable, making it perfect for taking in the surrounding scenery at a comfortable pace.
Our destination is the alpine town of Capo di Ponte, a charming village steeped in history. Here, we’ll take some time to explore the area before starting a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site. Capo di Ponte is home to famous prehistoric rock carvings, offering a fascinating glimpse into ancient times and the stories these markings represent. The guided tour will provide valuable context, helping you connect with the history of the region. On the way back, the scenic ride offers plenty of photo opportunities, so be sure to stop and capture the beauty of Val Camonica.
In the evening, we’ll head to Monte Isola, Europe’s largest lake island, for dinner. Monte Isola is especially peaceful in spring, offering an authentic Italian experience with minimal tourist crowds. It’s the perfect way to end the day with stunning views and a relaxing meal.

A visit to Lake Iseo isn’t complete without cycling the famous loop around the lake. This route is a must for cycling enthusiasts, offering a chance to experience a quieter, more authentic side of Italy, away from mass tourism. Starting from the hotel, we’ll ride along the lake with stunning views and visit several picturesque towns.
Our first stop is Iseo, known for its beautiful waterfront and lively piazzas. From there, we’ll head to Sarnico, a quaint town with cobblestone streets and charming architecture. Next, we’ll pass through Riva di Solto, offering breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. In Castro, we’ll enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this small village, and finally, we’ll stop in Lovere, often considered one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, with its historic buildings and harbour.
During the ride, we’ll take a break to enjoy coffee and a delicious lunch, giving us the energy to complete the loop. In the evening, you’ll have free time to explore Pisogne’s historic centre, with its narrow streets, old churches, and vibrant local culture—a relaxing way to end the day.
This morning, after a short transfer by van, you'll find yourself in the charming town of Clusone, nestled in a neighbouring valley. Take a moment to savour a coffee in this historic town, known for its intricate medieval clock tower and beautifully frescoed Oratorio dei Disciplini, before beginning your scenic ride through Val Seriana toward Bergamo.
The route, which follows mostly dedicated cycle paths, is perfect for relaxed conversation and capturing photographs of the stunning Lombardy countryside. Your destination is Bergamo's Città Alta, the city's historic, hilltop heart. A true jewel of the region, this walled upper town is a must-visit for anyone wishing to experience an authentic, unspoilt Italy, with its cobblestone streets and centuries-old architecture.
Upon arrival, we'll indulge in some of the city's famed gelato, a perfect treat either before or after we enjoy a hands-on experience making casoncelli, the region’s renowned stuffed pasta.
This evening, you are invited to a leisurely dinner at the hotel restaurant, offering a wonderful opportunity to reflect on your incredible journey and perhaps dream of your next cycling adventure.

- The departure is Pisogne, Lake Iseo. The tour begins at La Pieve Lake Hotel on the shores of Lake Iseo. Many guests enjoy exploring Milan before starting the tour. Please arrange to meet us at Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY) at 2pm on Day 1.
- The finish point is Pisogne, Lake Iseo. Following the conclusion of the tour we will assist you with planning and booking of onward travel. We will run one transfer to Brescia Train Station on Day 6, leaving the hotel at 10.30am.
- Major commercial flights provide convenient access to Pisogne. The nearest airport to Pisogne, Lake Iseo, is Milan Bergamo (BGY) Airport, located approximately 35.3 km away. We recommend looking into flights in Bergamo (BGY) or Milan (LIN, MXP).

Drop off Location: Following the conclusion of the tour we will assist you with planning and booking of onward travel. We will run one transfer to Brescia Train Station on Day 6, leaving the hotel at 10.30am.
Transfer Time: Getting from Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY) to the first hotel takes about 1 hour, and the transfer from the last hotel to Brescia Train Station is around 50 minutes.
Riding around the lakes and surrounding valleys: The general road conditions in the area are good. This tour features riding on public roads and cycle paths; the roads are shared with cars, motorbikes and bikes.
Cuisine: The food is excellent in the region of Lombardia. Restaurants now cater for both vegan and vegetarians. Homemade local wines and beer are a must-try. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements when completing the welcome questionnaire.
