As we ride along, the views stretch before us, plunging in both directions. The drama unfolds as we ascend Sveti Nikola, the limestone ridge that cuts across the island's middle. Ancient stone terraces guide our path as we wind downhill, followed by a stretch of flat riding interrupted by gentle climbs on the Stari Grad Plain, a landscape recognised by World Heritage.
We pause in Jelsa, a seaside haven, for a sip of coffee or a scoop of gelato before continuing along narrow, peaceful roads lined with lavender veggies and olive groves. Our homemade lunch, fresh from the surrounding fields, nourishes our bodies for the journey ahead.

- The departure point is Split
- The finish point is Dubrovnik
- Major commercial flights provide convenient access to Split. The closest airport to Split, Croatia, is Split Airport (SPU), also known as Resnik Airport. It is located approximately 24 kilometers (about 15 miles) west of the city center. Because of our early meeting time, you may need to arrive in Split the day before the trip starts.
The Dalmatian Coast enjoys a Mediterranean climate, characterized by hot dry summers (temperatures in the 90s are common) and mild winters. July and August can be downright hot. Bring plenty of moisture-wicking clothing, including lightweight long-sleeved shirts, to stay as comfortable as you can while active. Temperatures in May and October can be cooler, so if you're traveling with us during these months, please be prepared with warmer attire. (Also keep in mind that it may be too cool to swim.) Even though the islands receive minimal rainfall, it's still important to bring lightweight, breathable rain gear with you, since storms are always possible. On most days, you'll be comfortable in a short-sleeved shirt, although when you head out in the morning, you might want to wear a lightweight jacket or vest. No matter when your trip is, bring a jacket for our boat rides, as it can be chilly on the water.
