After meeting in Bastia, we will shuttle to today's trailhead to begin a hike along the banks of the Pietracorbara stream. The path winds through lush terrain to Pont Génois de Guadubughju, a serene glade featuring an arched stone bridge. We'll pause here before continuing to a classic Corsican restaurant for lunch on a terrace shaded by holm oak trees. Afterward, our trail proceeds through sunlit forests, past quiet hamlets, abandoned churches, and scenic overlooks with views of the mountains and sea.
For a more relaxed afternoon, you can opt to head directly to our boutique hotel, Le Tomino, after lunch. You'll have some time to settle into your room or take a refreshing dip in the stunning outdoor pool before we gather for a welcome reception at the hotel, followed by a dinner of local specialties.

Our first stop is the beautifully preserved hilltop town of Lama. From there, we'll follow a well-trodden shepherd's trail that climbs through cliffs, juniper bushes, and chestnut groves, passing ancient ruins before looping back to Lama for a regional meal.
In the afternoon, we'll head to one of Corsica's most fascinating "ghost villages," Occi. A scenic mountain path leads to this abandoned hamlet, where you can learn its history while wandering past medieval stone houses and centuries-old chapels.
Alternatively, you can take a shuttle back to La Villa Calvi, our Relais & Châteaux hotel for the night, to enjoy some seaside relaxation. Unwind by the pool or treat yourself to a spa treatment.

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll travel inland to the Bonifatu Forest. This protected wilderness spans over 7,000 acres and is home to diverse wildlife, including mouflon (wild sheep), golden eagles, and other native birds. With the island's highest peak, Monte Cinto, as its backdrop and the Figarella River weaving through it to form natural pools, the forest provides a cool haven for hikers. Our trail will meander through the lush woodland before we stop for lunch at a local mountain auberge.
This evening, you can take the hotel's shuttle to explore the charming streets of Calvi. The town is situated on a four-mile, crescent-shaped bay, offering tempting storefronts with coffee, ice cream, and Corsican treats. Stroll down to the marina for a snack or a pre-dinner drink and enjoy some excellent people-watching. Dinner is on your own tonight, so feel free to choose any restaurant that catches your eye.
After breakfast overlooking the distant coastlines of France and Italy, we’ll set off on our hike. We'll begin with an uphill climb from the hotel to Notre Dame de la Serra, a beautiful chapel offering panoramic views of the Bay of Calvi, the town's citadel, and the Reginu Valley.
From there, our hike continues into the Revellata Peninsula, a stunning expanse of Corsican landscape. Here, you'll find not just shimmering sea views and untouched beaches, but also the fragrant scents of wild rosemary, lavender, and sage lining the path. We’ll find a secluded cove to enjoy our packed lunch before you have the choice to either hike back to Calvi or take a shuttle to the hotel for a relaxing afternoon.
For our final evening together, we'll gather for a poolside reception, toasting our journey as we watch the sunset over the sea. Afterward, we'll enjoy a celebratory farewell dinner at the hotel's gourmet restaurant.
This morning, you have the option to explore more of Calvi with a guided tour of the historic city center and the impressive 13th-century Citadelle de Calvi, a stunning hilltop fortress overlooking the town. Prefer a slower start? Take your time, sleep in, and enjoy the hotel’s amenities at your leisure.
Later, we’ll meet for a light lunch together before you bid farewell to your Trip Leaders. A shuttle will then take you to Calvi Airport, marking the end of your journey.
