Kick off your trip in the 'adventure capital' Queenstown where you hike the lower slopes of Ben Lomond for extensive panoramic views over Lake Wakitipu. Stewart Island is one of the few places in the country with the greatest chance of seeing this very shy creature. Returning to the mainland, journey into Fiordland National Park for the Kepler track and Milford Sound walks.
