Walking distance: 9 - 11.5 km. Moderate Grade
Learn the Aboriginal legend of how the famous Three Sisters were formed as you descend the 862 steps of the Giant Stairway. Away from the throng of tourists and into the depths of Leura Forest. Delicate ferns and mosses hug the rainforest trees, as filtered sunlight creates a magical scene.

Walking distance: 15 km walking. Moderate Grade
You begin your today's walk by follows the ‘Golden Stairs / To Federal Pass’ sign along the narrow track with the occasional glimpse out to Malaita Point and towards the Three Sisters.
You soon reach Botting’s Lookout offering great views over the Jamison Valley and the cliff line, including the Landslide, Malaita Point and the Golden Stairs.
Then head downhill via Bottom of Golden Staircase, follow the old horse-drawn coal tram route filled with fern trees and vines, with the occasional lyrebird, and arrive at Miners Campsite and Northern Ruined Castle campsite.
Continue on the track winding up the wide valley, climbing up onto the main ridgeline, and finally reach the summit of Ruined Castle and Mt Solitary. You'll be rewarded with spectacular views from the top of the Ruined Castle, and especially from Mt Solitary.
Walking distance: 14 km walking. Moderate Grade
This 14 km hike will take you down a steep rainforest gully to the Jamison Valley. It can be a bit slippery and muddy and the track is not always well defined. The final part of the walk along the National Pass and back up Empress Falls is truly spectacular. The track is etched into sandstone cliffs and you look out over the Jamison Valley before walking up a series of cascades and waterfalls to finish the day.
Walking distance: 11 km walking. Moderate Grade
A stunning walk which takes you through a variety of eco-systems, has stunning valley views, creek crossings, some descent ascents to tackle, temperate rainforest sections and numerous waterfalls! A truly spectacular loop walk for the moderately fit and opportunities to swim if you choose.
You begin this hike walking across the cliff tops looking out over the grand Grose Valley before descending down Greaves Creek into the cool rainforest before arriving at Beauchamp Falls. Continue along Rodrigues Pass and continue to pass waterholes and falls as you then begin your ascent up Govetts leap - past Govetts Leap Falls and back to your starting point.

Hike the iconic Glow Worm Tunnel in Wollemi National Park and be captivated by the dazzling lights of its rare and elusive glow worms.
Arrive at the entrance to a cave like tunnel, walk under the mountain range, and descend into the darkness with your trusty torch in hand. Stop halfway to turn off your torches and be amazed by the thousands of Glow Worms which transform the tunnel into a starry night. Though natural looking from its exterior appearance, this tunnel is actually a disused railway line, which once descended into the Newnes valley, transporting oil shale.
Emerge on the far side of the tunnel greeted by a grove of tree ferns and sheer vertical cliffs towering over 600 feet high. You explore beautiful Bells Grotto surrounded by a stunning treefern forest. Continue your walk and admire the sandstone cliffs cut high on either side of the gully with glimpses of the dramatic scenery of the Wolgan Valley and river below.

The climate of the Blue Mountains is somewhat more temperate than the lower Sydney region. There is generally a 2°C drop in temperature every 300 metres increase in altitude. Therefore with Mount Victoria being over 1000 metres above Sea Level, you would expect the temperature to be around 7°C lower than Sydney.(Data sourced from www.doc.govt.nz, monitored at Totaranui, Units = °C)

The tour operator is at the mercy of nature in all her beauty and all her fury. The tour operator will under no circumstance knowingly place at risk the health and well-being of our guests and guides. In the case of natural threats, acts of God and the like (e.g. bushfires, impassable snow, etc) the tour operator may need to cancel a walk with very little notice. In some cases, this can occur after the walk has commenced. The tour operator reserves the right to cancel any walk up to 60 days prior to departure if a minimum of 4 walkers are unable to meet for a tour. If the tour operator needs to cancel for any reason, the cost of the walk or any other costs associated with travel to the designated pick up point, overnight accommodation, meals, etc will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore we strongly recommend travel insurance be taken out prior to travel.Force Majeure'Force Majeure' means (without restriction) any event which Onlyluxe Travel or its third party providers could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. In the case of Force Majeure Onlyluxe Travel will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.EvacuationsIn rare circumstances, due to injury or unforeseen illness, the tour operator may need to evacuate you from a remote part of the walk. Helicopter evacuations are expensive and in most cases will be at a cost to the customer.For Australian residents, under the Australian Government Medicare Act, it is prohibited for any domestic travel insurance product to provide any financial reimbursement with regard to ambulance or air ambulance services. We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider. Evacuation cost will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore it is also strongly recommended that our customers take out travel insurance to cover (amongst other things) the costs associated with evacuation.Travel InsuranceIn view of the heavy cancellation penalties applied to cancelled reservations in certain circumstances, we strongly recommends suitable travel insurance be purchased at the time the holding deposit is paid. We recommend insurance cover that covers any loss which may be suffered due to cancellation. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance against loss of baggage and medical expenses.
