-Commercial flights provide convenient access to Santa Cruz. The closest airport to Santa Cruz Island in the Galápagos is Seymour Airport (GPS) on Baltra Island. From Seymour Airport, travelers can reach Santa Cruz via a short bus and ferry ride, followed by a taxi or bus transfer to Puerto Ayora, the main town on Santa Cruz Island.
The Galapagos islands are noted as a year-round destination although have two season, dry season and wet season. From June to December the winds and current bring in the cooler waters and creates a misty atmosphere which is the period known as dry season. During this time, you can expect average temperatures of 25.7°C and water temperature of around 22.8 °C whilst in the warmer months of December to May, you will see the temperature raise to an average of 29°C whilst the water sits at an average of 25.5°C. During the warmer months, due to precipitation levels, you are more likely to experience rain.

We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider.
