The weather in Argentina's Lake District can vary dramatically from one day to the next. Come prepared for all types of weather to ensure that your trip is enjoyable. Because Patagonia is in the southern hemisphere, seasons are opposite of those in North America; summer occurs from mid-December through mid-March. Although it is mostly dry during the summer months, there is a high chance of rain, strong winds and cold dense fog at some point during your trip. Temperatures are generally cool early in the morning and late in the evening, sometimes reaching the low 40s. Sunny days can get very hot, even into the triple digits. Wearing layers is the key.
