The ABN Rajmahal sails the Ganges, a transboundary river of the plains of the northern Indian subcontinent, and its western distributary, the Hooghly. Both rivers are of religious significance to the Hindus, and also play major roles in the agriculture, industry and climatic conditions of northern India and West Bengal respectively.
