The Church House is 2 hours’ drive from Melbourne CBD. There are frequent daily services to Fish Creek Village from Southern Cross Station via bus and takes approximately 2.3 hours. The house is located just a 7-minutes’ drive from Fish Creek Village and a 30 minutes’ drive to Wilson’s Promontory National Park entrance. Enjoy ease of access to the beautiful surrounding beaches found only 10-20 minutes away.
The vaulted ceilings and exposed timber beams typify the refurbished Church. The eclectic furnishings & décor create a relaxed ambience. Originally built in 1876 in Royal Park Melbourne, St Georges Anglican Church had to be sold and removed or it was to be torn down and lost forever. The structural remains were used to rebuild the property at Fish Creek now featuring vaulted ceiling rafters, trusses, and timber flooring. Refurbished and decorated with unique style and touches of luxurious comfort, it is echoing its charming church features in a new-age elegance.
