Meet your guide and fellow walkers outside the National Gallery of Victoria, St Kilda Road at 8:00am on the day of departure.
The Grampians is a three hour drive from Melbourne so we have a stop in Ballarat for morning tea before arriving around lunchtime into our place of stay in Halls Gap.
After lunch it is time to strap on the boots and depart for an afternoon walk that begins at the Brambuk Visitor Centre, crosses Fyan's Creek and an easy walk takes us to the base of the Mt William Range, where it begins a steady climb.
Finally you top out at Boronia Peak with panoramic views over the Wonderland Range and surrounding peaks. Retracing your footsteps you will return to the coach and your place of stay by late afternoon.
Walking distance: approximately 11 km walking, moderate graded
After a hearty continental breakfast and with your day's lunch packed you begin your walk from the heart of Halls Gap.
The trail begins alongside Stony Creek and rises towards Wonderland. The imagery and the unique shaping of the rocks gives rise to features like the Elephant Hide and the Grand Canyon. You emerge out onto the rocky spine of the Pinnacle, one of today's visual spectacles.
After lunch your days' walk continues on a more even footing out to Sundial Peak where you are able to rest and soak up another stunning view. From here the walk winds up at the Rosea Campground.
A short drive later and you will be transferred back to your accommodation where you can freshen yourself up and then join the group dinner.
Walking distance: approximately 13 km walking, moderate to hard graded
Again another lovely breakfast and lunch making with sandwiches/salads to take out on the trail. This morning you return to where you finished up yesterday and this time you start a challenging ascent to the peak of Mount Rosea.
While the climb is challenging the path is so well formed and shaded you will enjoy the rhythm of the walk before topping out at the summit of Mount Rosea. It makes a superb spot for lunch and time to enjoy your reward for your morning’s efforts.
The trail from here winds down to where it finishes at Borough Huts. Back to our place of stay for some well-earned respite. This evening we'll head off to the local hotel for dinner and our final night together.
Tonight's dinner is at your own expense.
Walking distance: approximately 4 - 6 km walking, moderate graded
This morning's walk takes you to the top of Mount William, the highest peak in the Grampians. It is only a short walk and of a moderate nature but the views is amazing. You're able to look right along the entire length of the Grampians as it stretches north and south.
After the morning walk, takes a short drive back in Halls Gap where you can buy your lunch for the last day (lunch today is at your own expense) before you begin your journey back to Melbourne.

The tour operator is at the mercy of nature in all her beauty and all her fury. The tour operator will under no circumstance knowingly place at risk the health and well-being of our guests and guides. In the case of natural threats, acts of God and the like (e.g. bushfires, impassable snow, etc) the tour operator may need to cancel a walk with very little notice. In some cases, this can occur after the walk has commenced. The tour operator reserves the right to cancel any walk up to 60 days prior to departure if a minimum of 4 walkers are unable to meet for a tour. Helicopter evacuations are expensive and in most cases will be at a cost to the customer. For Australian residents, under the Australian Government Medicare Act, it is prohibited for any domestic travel insurance product to provide any financial reimbursement with regard to ambulance or air ambulance services. We therefore strongly advise our customers to take specific ambulance cover through their health insurance provider. Evacuation cost will not be covered by the Onlyluxe Travel and therefore it is also strongly recommended that our customers take out travel insurance to cover (amongst other things) the costs associated with evacuation.Travel InsuranceIn view of the heavy cancellation penalties applied to cancelled reservations in certain circumstances, we strongly recommends suitable travel insurance be purchased at the time the holding deposit is paid. We recommend insurance cover that covers any loss which may be suffered due to cancellation. We also strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance against loss of baggage and medical expenses.
