This walk showcases a relatively untouched and undiscovered part of Queensland that most people are yet to truly discover, the Scenic Rim South East Queensland. Set at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range and surrounded by World Heritage Listed Gondwana Rainforest, the Scenic Rim is a regional Australian paradise waiting to be explored.
This incredible 4-day bush experience starts in the foothills of South East Queensland's Main Range National Park, an area renowned for its stunning collection of mountains, ridges, escarpments, forests and ancient volcanic plateaus. From here, led by experienced guides, you will journey through a region that contains more than 30,000 hectares of parkland, state forests and national parks as well as privately owned 2,000 hectare nature refuge. Your experienced guides will bring the trail to life, describing the tales, rituals and traditions of the region's indigenous inhabitants. Your 2.5 day guided hike will vary in duration and distance (13km and 15km per day) but are easily manageable with a moderate level of fitness.

Departing from Launceston, the easy to moderate grade walk begins at the Bay of Fires on the northernmost section of Mount William National Park. From its long beaches to teeming wildlife, unique history and abundant flora, Mt William National Park is a place of constant fascination. From here you'll explore iconic sights such as Boulder Point, Cobbler Rocks, Cod Bay, the pink granite lighthouse at Eddystone Point, and beautiful Anson's Bay across sand and headlands encountering some rocky trails. Throughout the tour you'll admire the rich variety of bird life, with nearly 100 species occurring in the area. This remarkable region is also famed for its spectacular native wildflowers.
The walk is fully guided and supported. On day 1, we will give you a backpack (40lt day pack). You need to carry your personal belongings including toiletries and change of clothes, water and food for the day, including lunch and snacks. Approximately 7-10kgs in a backpack.

A private wilderness camp is your base. Upon arrival at Melaleuca, you'll board a vessel to access the camp, where you'll be accommodated for two nights. The wilderness camp is located in one of the world's last remaining temperate rainforests, on the shores of Bathurst Harbour. This camp has no walking track access and is completely exclusive to the walkers on the tour. You'll stay in comfortable accommodation with hot showers and enjoy quality Tasmanian food and wine.
Private boat to explore the magnificent waterways of the Port Davey Marine Reserve. With its 800 metre mountains rising from the sea, the Port Davey Marine Reserve is three times the size of Sydney Harbour.
