Kamikochi is the crown jewel of the Japanese Alps and one of Japan’s most famous hiking destinations. This high mountain valley is located in the Northern Japan Alps in Chubu Sangaku National Park. The surrounding mountains reach 3,190 m, which creates a stunningly magnificent background with the beautiful aquamarine Azusa River in the foreground.
