Proud to be part of Nga Haerenga, the New Zealand Cycle Trail network, one of 22 New Zealand Great Rides, the Great Lake Trail takes you deep into the native bush surrounding the beautiful Lake Taupo as well as a truly ancient area that is interwoven with Maori history and stories from a time past.

Over the three days, you will cycle on the three sections of Great Lake Trail: Waihaha section (30km), Kawakawa section (19.5km), W2K section (21km).

At the end of your daily cycling adventure, return to Whakaipo Lodge - an architect-designed lodge offering relaxed luxury in a beautiful location. Here, you can relax in the lounge with log fire in Winter, or in the stunning garden setting in Summer, with a glass of complimentary NZ wine or craft beer and canapés, a chat with your knowledgeable Kiwi hosts.
