Departing from Brisbane, set out on an overnight rail journey aboard the iconic Spirit of Queensland to Cairns, the gateway to tropical north Queensland. Upon arrival in Cairns, a private chauffeur will transfer you 150 kilometres north-west to Mt Mulligan Lodge. Set upon 28,000 hectares of captivating and timeless Queensland back country, Mt Mulligan offers an escape from the everyday and a unique opportunity to experience life on a working cattle farm. On Day 5 of your trip, transfer by road to Daintree Ecolodge for two nights in the heart of the oldest continually surviving tropical rainforest in the world. On Day 7, you’ll transfer by road to Cairns Airport (CNS), where you’ll board a private helicopter for a breathtaking 90-minute flight over the Great Barrier Reef to the luxurious Orpheus Island Lodge. During your three-night stay, you’ll have access to pristine dive sites boasting 1,100 of the 1,500 species of fish on the reef. You can swim, snorkel, fish or take the helm of a motorised dingy to discover the many pristine coves and reefs that fringe the island.
