Explore the world famous Abel Tasman Coast Track on foot over three fantastic days. Classed as one of 'New Zealand's Great Walks', the 38km Abel Tasman Coast Track follows the coastline through lush native bush, over limestone cliffs and along golden sandy beaches. On this journey along the Abel Tasman Coast Track, you choose to walk all the way, take short hikes, or relax aboard the scenic boat cruise.
At the very top of the South Island there is the glittering Abel Tasman National Park and the Coast Track is the perfect way to explore the beauty of the Park. The Abel Tasman National Park is New Zealand's only coastal national park. Inviting sandy beaches fill the spaces between the trees and the tideline. Crystal clear streams tumble down mossy valleys to join the ocean. Granite and marble formations fringe the headlands, which are cloaked in regenerating native forest. Walking along the Abel Tasman Coast Track, you will soon agree that this is a coastal paradise and perfect place for relaxation and adventure.
Native wildlife is an essential part of your walking. Many animal species found along the Abel Tasman Coast Track are unique to this part of New Zealand. Tui and bellbird song fills the forest; shags (cormorants), gannets and little blue penguins dive for their dinner; fur seals lounge on the rocks around the edge of Tonga Island. Farewell your animal friends on the track, return to your beachfront lodges and enjoy a hot shower. They are the only lodge accommodation right on the beach in the heart of Abel Tasman National Park. Here, you enjoy a wilderness experience without giving up modern conveniences. Over a fine 3-course dinner, swap stories with fellow walkers, be lulled to sleep by the sound of waves lapping against golden sands.
With no road access in the Abel Tasman National Park, every trip is a journey. Be part of a small group, guided by experienced local guides, where you can discover the best of Abel Tasman National Park in comfort, with more time for you to relax or immerse in nature.
The walk is all inclusive with fine food prepared for you. You don't need to carry heavy packs during your walk as we transport all your luggage.
Blessed with a mild climate, golden beaches and lush coastal native bush, the Abel Tasman Coast Track walk delivers a safe, fun, friendly and authentic walking experience.
