The trail is part of Nga Haerenga, the New Zealand Cycle Trail network, one of 22 New Zealand's Great Rides. You will ride on the trail to enjoy postcard-perfect views.

The Queen Charlotte Track takes in the magnificent sights between Queen Charlotte Sound and Kenepuru Sound in the Marlborough Sounds. It extends from Ship Cove in the north to Anakiwa in the south. You can choose to have a local guide for your first day. The first day is regarded as the premier section of the Queen Charlotte Track with many beautiful views of Marlborough Sounds. Your local guide will explain the European and Maori connections of this significant historical area as well as providing detailed information on flora and fauna along the trail and general track advice. You are then well equipped to continue on your way for the remainder of your self-guided walk for the rest of three days. Additional cost: $250 per person.
